Vegan Grocery List

Below is a list of various vegan foods that are good to have on hand. Of course, alter the list due to your tastes, your budget, and seasonality, but this is a good starting place. Also, try to eat seasonally and, if you can, locally. Not only will the produce taste better, but it travels less of a distance (thus, being fresher and having a lesser impact on the environment) and supports local farmers. Furthermore, organic is always best! Eating pesticides isn't much fun and supporting hazardous agricultural practices isn't enjoyable either. All that in mind, I understand (being a college student and everything) that it isn't always possible to afford to buy organic and/or local. That is okay. Being a conscious consumer is about doing what is in your power to make better choices.
